Do The Knowledge!!!!!

I remember in 1997 when I was looking in the dictionary for a word in the M section (I don't remember what word it was) and I stumbled across the word MOOR, and the definition next to it read something like: A Muslim group of people from AFRICA with Arabic and Berber decent who conquered Spain from 711-1492. I was AMAZED. By this time I was heavy into studying Black History and things of that nature, so reading this was fueling the fire. Since then I have done extensive research on the MOORS and became astonished at how these strong MEN OF COLOR conquered a EUROPEAN country and civilized it. Just today I found this documentary about the MOORS. Haven't watched it all but it looks on point.
When the Moors Ruled in Europe

That's where spanish words like "aljedrez" came from, which means chess, since the Moors were the ones who invented chess. A lot of words in the Spanish language derive from Moors and Indigenous people, unintentionally portraying the post-spanish influences within spanish-speaking countries. To an extent, there's also a lot of African (Moor) blood within the old Spaniards, something that Spaniards forcefully deny.
